In their fourth century of violent colonization and racism globally, Europeans are acknowledging and becoming accountable to their behaviours and actions. Along with aiding each other in the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual process. European settlers are taking the moments to reflect on their painful legacy of anti-African-ism, atone emotionally, mentally and spiritually for spreading hatred, and making a commitment to initiate repair through their own social relationships.

We believe in Government Based Reparations although in 180 years we have received one broken promise of 40 acres and a Mule on the federal level, and a 2021 initiative led by Robin Rue Simmons on the city level for 25,000$. Government reparations have been flanked by lengthy legal procedures, strict eligibility requirements and revoked in an instance by executive order.
We experience Community Based Reparations as a more stable remedy. Make no mistake, reparations and other forms of racial reckoning (LandBack/Rematriation/Repatriation) are the RETURN of stolen, withheld, and/or usurped resources, basic dignities, recognition, and remedies. While we humbly accept these returns, they are NOTdonations, gifts or other forms of mutual aide. Act accordingly.
