We educate about and facilitate Rest practices. Stay tuned for our Rest As Reparations Zine in 2023 which outlines 7 types of rest. Rest is what is available to marginalized folks when privileged folks return resources (reparations + Rematriation + repatriation). Moving from survival mode to thriving takes a lot of de-conditioning and relearning of mind, body and spirit.

In order to thrive we have our basic dignities cared for; shelter, food, water, love, health, community. This allows for deeper exploration of Self; hobbies, aspirations, sharing, reflection, shifting, imagination. Learn more about the journey into mindful rest.
With the normalcy of generational racial reckoning through resource return comes added moments to rest. For everyone – spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.
Why do we need rest? Marginalized folks, especially, have been conditioned by European folks to be productive, grind and hustle to receive less than we deserve. Labouring emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually for the betterment of Europeans and Eurocentric ideals. We use rest to remedy exhaustion and the colonial mindset.

3. Resting – mental, sensory, emotional, social, spiritual, creative, physical
4. communal care/rest – publicly with others resting
5. spirituality – majick, culture, religion, elements
6. play – joy, freedom, wildness, adventure, fun
7. pleasure – joy, kink, laughter, beauty, sensualness
8. self expression – art, fashion, language, hobbies
9. full emotional expression – acknowledge, release
10. imagination – adventure, fantasy, dreaming, creating
