Volunteer opportunity | video transcription

Greetings!

yasmine, jelly-of-all-trades, here, excited to be connecting with the lovely community of Artistic Apothecary! We hope you all have been having a restful and nourishing winter season so far.

Have you been curious about getting more involved in Artistic Apothecary’s work? This can be a great chance for you! We are searching for a volunteer interested in transcribing 5 videos for us in English. The videos add up to about 65 minutes of content, and some of the transcription has already been completed for the longest video. Videos include three Kwanzaa Live! events, a Truth and Reconciliation mini-art clip, and another about our Mutual Aide Care Packs Programs.

We can supply volunteer with a document that includes the 5 video links and partial translations to expand upon. Translation is done by listening to videos and writing in a document what is said along with sounds, descriptions of the background and speaker. Transcriptions will remain a separate attached document to the videos. Below are a couple of the videos that will be transcribed.

This is NOT transcribing video captions as in previous volunteer opportunities.
