Bright blessings, Beautiful Beings, Bienvenido!

Moon Phase: Waxing Gibbous
Sun Phase: early Spring
Moment to Pause: May the land’s gift of budding plants bring you peace
Music: Your Voice by kuwa jasiri
Affirmation: Go slow – becoming oneself is always ongoing

We invite you to continue to reflect on the topics of land relations and themes introduced by Amy. Self reflect through meditation, crafts or journaling activities. Reflect outward with the land, in Nature or with others.

Connections To People & Place –
Who are your people? Ethnicities And Cultures
What is your mountain or land? Original Lands
What is your water?
What is your relationship to your Ancestry?

  • In many Indigenous cultures, introductions often include sharing in one’s native tongue about their people and lineages, and often the land and water that they have connection with. How does your culture introduce themselves? greet each other?
  • Are you able to introduce yourself? How might it affect our relationship to self if we are not?

“My people, we keep the balance of the Natural world no matter the cost. We face great villains on the frontlines. Bold and victorious are my people. Ask the Land,” Angimo bellowed with a forming sense of dignity. Startled by the acceptance of their responsibilities, Angimo springs up, gathers their dress and sprints off.

Sebastian waterfall in Taino territory, Boriken, 'Puerto Rico'. Water glides downward hugging the rock as it gently trickles into the pond. Which is deep although small in diameter.

Themes from Elders Pat & Malea –
How have the past witch hunts in Europe affected humanity?
How are, or have, you or your family been impacted by any pressures of assimilation based on European mediocrity/domination?

  • Has your family forgotten, or tried to remember, its stories as it relates to familial and collective traumas? If so, what do you think may have been the purpose of forgetting (or the efforts of remembering) in your families?
  • How do you think your family might still be carrying out intergenerational trauma?
  • How do you take responsibility for remedying your lineage?

How does your heart feel after this exploration of People & Places?
How can you continue to develop relationships with your People & Place?

We have also compiled some Liberatory Resources for Truth and Reconciliation to nourish your process of becoming. These resources seek to support one-on-one practices of telling the truth, believing others and being accountable for ourselves and our lineage. By one-on-one we mean that these aspects of Truth and Reconciliation are to be practiced in our circadian lives, with the people around us, and within ourselves. These are practical actions and values that bring Truth and Reconciliation tangibly into our worlds, through our interactions.
