We started a patreon in Fall 2020 to receive community contributions for our programs. We met our 1st Goal of 15 patrons with 141$ on January 2022. Since 2021, we are able to sustain our programs with foundation grants. Now our Seed Pod Giving Tree donations support me, kuwa jasiri, our Founding Steward being paid for labour. I am so grateful for the 14 current members and those who have dropped in over the years!!
Where does your money go?
Generous community contributions provide vital resources for me, Founding Steward Of Artistic Apothecary. As an Afro-Carribean, intersex leader, regular aide bolsters my basic dignities, gives me access to stable housing allowing me autonomous space to participate in community and offer my labour towards transformative justice. This Seed Pod Giving Community exists for the purpose of replenishing and rejuvenating my mind, body and spirit.
Patreon supports our founding steward in sustaining beauty‘s basic dignities of food, housing and medicine. Since 2011, beauty has been steward to this grassroots initiative of liberation for all, prioritizing genderqueer People Of Culture, Nature and cultural remembrance. Patron’s receive a behind the scenes reflection of kuwa jasiri leveling up as a Birthworker, Spiritual Coach, and Comedian. I was unable to come up with anything funny for a comedy sketch. Although the process of preparing to perform revealed lots about my style as a comedian and storyteller. I want to share my journey with you!

To create an equitable society, those of us who have benefited from privilege must give away their money, labour, and other resources to marginalized folks. While learning what it means to be part of a community, engage in cultural accountability, divest from capitalistic, colonial and -ism based systems.
