Moment to Pause to honour our growth
If you are part of our community chances are you a queer Person Of Heritage or someone that loves us! You may also have a passion for social and environmental solutions as we move through abolition towards harmony. I thank you all who have grown with us.
My first name is kuw jasiri (the one/ellx/beauty/supreme) I am the Founding Steward, Seed + Medicine + Birth Keeper. In my personal life I received the Magical Mermaid Scholarship to attend a Seed Seva Course with Rowen White. I am prioritizing learning more about Seed saving from Indigenous and Afro femmes. My journey has taken me deep into the practice of resting and meditation. I have two therapists who I work with regularly on childhood sexual tramuas, my gender journey + spiritual exploration whlie building my self worth and confidence. I also have a Rest Coach. Having these deep moments of self care, ease + peace are vitual to living in my highest purpose.
That is where I am now. So where is our grassroots organization? If you follow us closely you are already aware. For all others in collaboration with Catchafire volunteers we present Authentic Creations Artistic Apothecary. So first off the name change to Artistic and with Jay Jean Gray we now have a domain .org! for the next 3 Sun cycles.
This is our ninth Sun cycle serving marginalized community members with our BY US, FOR US model. We refreshed our Mission, Vision, Ethics and Programs to show up better for you all. Returning literally to our roots of Seed stewardship and heritage gardening.
More than ever we hold a commitment to accessibility. With our e-zines and Nourishment At Home captioned video series releasing new skillshares every Waxing and Waning Half Moons. We are using more design graphics to be in alignment with our Ethics of Play and Rest.
We are seeking more support from our community and those who love us. We launched our Patreon and have been meeting our goals for new Moonly support ever since. Another way to give financially is by purchasing our e-zines + merchandise + one time donations + hiring us to make you a zine. We also thrive with in-kind donations like Seeds, labour and Hygiene products.
Eventhough we dropped Publishing from our name we are very much amplifying the storys of marginalized identities. Some other shifts will be our Moonly Newsletter where we will mainly feature topics like Seeds, E-Zines, Upcoming Collaborations + Fundraisers. We acknowledge the abundance of emails lately and will tone that down for everyones sanity.
We are seeking two more Council Members especially those of Afro and Middle Eastern descent.
Our current Apprentice is Courtney Egenes working on program graphics and zine research.
We humbly THANK everyone in our community, networks and followings for showing up to this decolonial work. We are successful because of your commitment to us!
